| 表面の説明 | Cast copper cash coin centered on a raised-rim square perforation. Four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu) are disposed in the four cardinal positions around the central square hole, reading clockwise from the top: 天 (Thiên), 感 (Cảm), 元 (Nguyên), 寶 (Bảo), forming the era-name inscription 天感元寶. The characters are rendered in relief against an otherwise unadorned field, with no inner or outer rim roping. The coin exhibits a heavily patinated green surface consistent with prolonged burial, typical of Lý dynasty cast coinage. |

Thiên Cảm Nguyên Bảo was struck for the reign-period name adopted by Lý Anh Tông, whose 37-year reign saw the Lý dynasty at a precarious administrative peak — capable of projecting dynastic ceremony through coinage but increasingly reliant on powerful provincial lords. The reign-period itself lasted only two years, 1174–1175, which constrains the window of production tightly. Toda's failure to assign a catalog number suggests this type was either unknown to him or considered too uncertain for inclusion, making Barker's attribution the primary scholarly anchor for the series.
