Reverse description The reverse displays two raised inscriptions flanking the central square perforation, identifying the issuing mint. To the left of the hole appears a single Manchu character (ᡤᡳᠶᠠᠩ, 'Giyang'), cast vertically in relief; to the right appears the single Chinese character 江 (Jiāng), denoting Jiangxi province. The field is otherwise plain, with a smooth flat rim, consistent with standard Qing provincial cast coinage of the Kangxi period.
