| Descrizione del dritto | Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed imperial bust of Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique style typical of barbarian imitations of Byzantine prototypes. The effigy is encircled by a retrograde or debased Latin legend occupying the full periphery of the flan. The portrait, while stylistically crude relative to official Byzantine issues, retains the essential iconographic elements of the imperial effigy. The irregular flan and hammered fabric are characteristic of Gepid workshop production at Sirmium. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Central field occupied by the prominent crowned monogram of Theoderic, rendered in interlaced letter form with a cross pattée above, all enclosed within a beaded or linear inner circle. The monogram, composed of the letters of THEODERICVS, is characteristic of Ostrogothic and Gepid royal coinage struck in the name of Theoderic. A debased Latin legend surrounds the central device in the outer field, reading in retrograde or garbled form. The overall composition follows the established reverse type of Ostrogothic quarter-siliquae struck at Sirmium, adapted here by Gepid moneyers. |
