| Reverse description | Plain convex field bearing a stylized tamgha or dynastic symbol consisting of three or four parallel curved lines arranged in a fan or hand-like motif, enclosed within a granular or beaded border. This device is a characteristic dynastic emblem of the Chorasmian Wik/Wir rulers of the middle period. The flan is irregular and the surface partially encrusted with green patina typical of buried bronze coinage from Central Asia. |

Choresmia — the oasis civilization centered on the Amu Darya delta south of the Aral Sea — operated as a largely autonomous region during this period despite nominal Kidarite and later Hephthalite pressure on its borders. The Wik/Wir designation reflects a reading of the Chorasmian script ruler name, a language still only partially deciphered, which is why this type remains cataloged under an unknown issuer rather than a named king. Vainberg's classification system for Chorasmian bronzes remains the foundational reference, though her die studies are incomplete for this middle-period group.
