| Obverse description | Crowned baroque oval cartouche bearing the quartered arms of Bavaria and the Palatinate, with a central escutcheon of the imperial orb, set within an ornate baroque frame. The date is divided at left and right by the shield, with the year 1657 appearing in the legend and field. The Collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece is suspended from the base of the shield, and the fractional denomination (1/3) appears within a small circle at the bottom of the design. The surrounding legend, interrupted by the shield, records the full abbreviated titles of Elector Ferdinand Maria. |
