| Beschrijving keerzijde | Three draped nymphs standing facing, arranged in a tight frontal group within a dotted border. The leftmost figure holds an amphora at her side, while the central and rightmost nymphs stand with arms at rest, all rendered in long chitons with finely incised drapery folds. The ethnic legend ΘΕΡΜΙΤΑΝ appears in the exergue in Greek capitals, identifying the issuing city of Thermai Himerensis. The composition reflects the city's particular veneration of its local nymph cult, a recurrent type on the bronze coinage of this mint. |
