His coinage, often bearing the epithet "Soter Dikaios" (Savior and Just), reflects a ruler attempting to project authority and legitimacy amidst the encroaching Scythian tribes and internal strife that characterized the final decline of the Indo-Greek kingdom. His extended rule, possibly beginning as a minor under his mother Agathokleia, saw the kingdom's power wane, making his issues crucial for understanding this tumultuous period.

Artistry: The artistic execution of Strato I's coinage generally adheres to the Hellenistic tradition, albeit with a gradual evolution reflecting local influences.
