| Beschrijving voorzijde | Youthful, beardless head of Heracles in right-facing profile, depicted without beard in the Hellenistic tradition, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the beast's jaws framing the hero's crown and the fur rendered in boldly modelled folds across the neck and shoulder. The facial features display strong classical workmanship, with a pronounced brow, almond-shaped eye, and well-defined chin characteristic of the Alexandrine coinage type. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with the hammered production of posthumous Hellenistic issues struck at Assos during the second century BC. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned to the left upon a stool-throne (diphros), his nude torso rendered in the round and his lower body draped; he extends his right hand forward, upon which an eagle perches with wings closed, while his left hand rests on a tall upright sceptre. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the left field, a griffin seated to the left serves as a civic symbol of Assos, accompanied by a monogram serving as a mint control mark. The composition closely follows the canonical Alexandrine reverse type established under Alexander III, adapted here with local control symbols by the issuing authority at Assos. |
