| Descrizione del dritto | Youthful bare-faced head of Heracles facing right, portrayed with idealized features in the Lysippan tradition, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress over the hair; the scalp of the lion covers the crown of the head, with the beast's forelegs knotted at the throat. Curling locks of hair are visible beneath the headdress, and the ear is clearly rendered. The portrait is executed in high relief with fine engraving characteristic of the post-Alexander posthumous series. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low backless throne, his upper body nude and lower body draped; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand holds a long upright sceptre. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. In the left field, a head of Ammon facing right serves as a symbol identifying the Abydos mint, and a monogram appears below the throne. The composition follows the canonical Alexandrine reverse type established under Alexander III. |
