Beschrijving voorzijde Facing right, the youthful head of Heracles depicted without beard, rendered in fine high relief characteristic of the early Hellenistic tradition. The hero is clad in the lion skin headdress — the scalp drawn over the crown with the beast's jaws framing the face and the forelegs knotted at the throat — serving as his divine attribute. The modeling of the facial features is accomplished with considerable artistry, with well-defined brow, prominent nose, and sensitively rendered lips. The hair, partially visible beneath the pelt, curls naturally at the temples and nape.

Beschrijving keerzijde Zeus Aetophoros enthroned to the left upon a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and draped from the waist. The god extends his right arm forward, an eagle — symbol of divine authority — perched upon his outstretched hand, while his left hand grasps a long sceptre resting against his shoulder. The ethnic legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field. A monogram appears in the left field, serving as a mint or magistrate control mark. The composition follows the canonical reverse type established under Alexander III of Macedon.
