| Opis rewersu | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low backless throne, his nude torso depicted in three-quarter view; he extends his right arm to support an eagle with closed wings, and holds a long upright sceptre in his left hand. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ below reads 'of King Alexander', asserting the royal authority under which the coin was struck. A control monogram appears in the left field and a second monogram below the throne, serving as mint or magistrate marks specific to the Salamis issue. The composition follows the canonical Alexander-type reverse established under Alexander III and continued by his successors. |
