| Descrizione del dritto | Youthful diademed and radiate head of Antiochos VI Dionysos facing right, with flowing curly hair rendered in fine Hellenistic style; the radiate crown, composed of straight rays emanating from behind the diadem, is characteristic of the solar divine imagery adopted by this ruler. The portrait exhibits idealized, almost effeminate features consistent with the king's young age at accession. The field is smooth and unlettered, with the flan edge slightly irregular as typical of hammered Seleucid silver coinage. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The Dioskouroi, the divine twins Kastor and Polydeukes, depicted as mounted horsemen facing left, their horses rearing dynamically; each figure holds couched lances and grasps the reins, conveying vigorous martial energy in the Hellenistic tradition. To the right of the group, the control marks TPY appear above a monogram above ΣTA; the Seleucid date OP (year 170 of the Seleucid Era, corresponding to 143/142 BC) is placed below. The entire design is enclosed within an elaborate wreath combining laurel, ivy, and grain ears, a distinctive border type associated with the coinage of Antiochos VI. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ runs around the field. |
