| Описание аверса | Facing head of Helios depicted en face, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair radiating symmetrically around the visage and parted at the center of the forehead. The facial features are modeled with naturalistic precision characteristic of early fourth-century Rhodian coinage, with pronounced brow ridges, deeply set almond-shaped eyes, and a subtly parted mouth. The overall treatment reflects the accomplished die-cutting tradition of the Rhodian mint following the synoikism of 408 BC. No inscription appears on the obverse, the design filling the flan in the bold, sculptural style associated with the Chian-Rhodian weight standard. |
