| 裏面の説明 | A satrap in military attire gallops vigorously to the right on a spirited horse shown in full stride, the rider brandishing a spear held at the ready in his right hand. A six-pointed star is prominently placed in the upper field above the horse and rider. The entire design is contained within a neat dotted border, a hallmark of Carian satrapal coinage of this period. The composition reflects the strong Achaemenid artistic influence prevalent in western Anatolian coinage of the mid-fourth century BC. |
