Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line Arabic legend in three horizontal registers separated by ruled lines, recording the mint, regnal year, and Ottoman honorific titles. The surrounding marginal field carries a circular Arabic inscription in smaller script, enclosed within a beaded or dotted border. The calligraphy is rendered in the characteristic Ottoman tughra-influenced style typical of Sultani gold coinage struck in North African mints. The flan edges are irregular and show the characteristic wavy outline of hammered production, and a drilled suspension hole is present at the upper right.
