Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a royal crown rendered in high relief occupies the central field, depicted in a stylised Gothic manner with three fleurs-de-lis finials rising from the band. The crown rests over a hatched or striated base element. Surrounding the beaded circle, a circular legend in uncial Latin characters reads the royal title of Erik, King of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. The flan is irregular, as is typical of hammered coinage of this period.
