| Description de l’avers | Nike as charioteer, clad in long flowing robes, drives a quadriga (four-horse chariot) at full gallop toward the right, holding a sceptre in her raised right hand. The horses are rendered in fine archaic style with carefully delineated musculature. The magistrate inscription ΦΕΙΔΩΝΟΣ (of Pheidon) appears in the field, identifying this issue with the eponymous official. The composition fills the flan with dynamic energy characteristic of Kyrenaean coinage of the late fourth century BC. |

| Description du revers | Apollo Kitharoidos stands facing, enveloped in a long chiton and crowned with a laurel wreath, holding a kithara (lyre) in his left hand and a plectrum in his right. At his feet to the left stands a silphium plant — the emblematic export of Kyrene — while a laurel branch appears in the upper left field. The city ethnic ΚΥΡΑΝΑΙΟΝ is inscribed in the field, identifying the issuing authority. The reverse type reflects the paramount religious and civic importance of Apollo as the divine patron of Kyrene, rendered in a dignified, classicising style. |
