| Reverse description | Highly stylized and schematically rendered frontal figure of a goddess, seated in a formal hieratic pose, depicted in the abstract manner characteristic of late Kashmir dynastic gold coinage. The deity is shown with limbs reduced to bold, wing-like projections, the body treated as a flat, almost ornamental form consistent with the degeneration of the original Lakshmi or Sri iconography inherited from earlier Kushano-Hephthalite issues. A degraded Brahmi legend surrounds the central figure in the field, partially legible as 'deva', forming part of the royal epithet. The reverse design mirrors the abstracted artistic vocabulary of the obverse, with deeply struck relief against a plain, irregular gold flan. |
