Obverse description Eleutheria, personification of freedom, seated left upon a rocky outcrop, her draped figure rendered in careful archaic style. She extends a wreath in her right hand, the gesture conveying her divine attribute. A tunny fish, the civic badge of Kyzikos, is depicted beneath her figure in the lower field. The inscription ELEU-QERI is incised in two lines upon the rock, identifying the seated deity in Greek lettering.
