| Obverse description | Pegasos depicted in full figure flying to the right, with large outstretched wings rendered with fine feather detail and a curved, flowing tail. The winged horse is shown in a dynamic galloping posture, all four legs extended, conveying vigorous forward motion. The musculature of the body is boldly modelled in high relief, characteristic of the Corinthian coinage tradition adopted by Akarnanian city-states. The field is otherwise plain, with no legend or additional devices. The flan is irregular and slightly spread at the edges, as typical of hand-struck Greek silver coinage of this period. |

| Reverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, rendered in fine high relief with flowing locks of hair emerging from beneath the Corinthian helmet, which is pushed back to reveal the goddess's idealized profile. The cheek-guard of the helmet is clearly articulated, and a crest is visible atop the bowl. To the left of the head appears a hook-shaped symbol and the Greek letter epsilon (Ε), serving as civic or magistrate control marks identifying the issuing authority of Echinos. The workmanship reflects the skilled die-cutting traditions associated with Akarnanian silver coinage of the late Classical period. |

Echinos was a small Akarnanian settlement whose coinage output was modest by any measure — the reference variants alone suggest the surviving population of this type is too thin for firm die studies. Akarnania's federal coinage structure in this period meant most communities struck under collective arrangements, making autonomous civic issues like this one relatively unusual and chronologically difficult to pin down within the forty-five year window the type spans.
