| Obverse description | Half-length figure of Demeter, draped in a girdled chiton and himation, rising from the earth and turned to the left, her right hand extended holding three ears of grain. Two additional ears of grain and a vine bearing two clusters of grapes appear behind her left shoulder, filling the field in a naturalistic arrangement characteristic of Lampsakene artistic style. |

| Reverse description | Forepart of Pegasus, the winged horse, depicted facing right in dynamic three-quarter posture with one foreleg raised and curled beneath the chest. The elaborately rendered wing curves upward and backward above the body, with incised feather detailing executed in fine relief. The flan is slightly irregular, typical of hand-struck Greek gold coinage of the fourth century BC. |
