The hair is elaborately dressed and swept back, adorned with a stephane or wreath, with fine engraved strands visible above the forehead and at the nape. A small earring pendant is visible below the ear. The portrait is sensitively modelled with smooth facial planes and precise die-cutting, reflecting the high artistic standard of 4th-century BCE Elean engravers. The field is plain and unlettered on this side.

The eagle is set within a wreath of olive branches encircling the entire field, referencing the sacred olive of Olympia. The ethnic inscription, rendered in Elean digamma script, appears in the lower field. The composition is bold and naturalistic, consistent with the finest die work produced at the Olympian mint during the Olympiad series.
