Obverse description Draped bust of a female deity, most likely Hera, facing left in high relief, rendered in the classical style characteristic of Elis coinage. The hair is elaborately dressed and swept back, adorned with a stephane or wreath, with fine engraved strands visible above the forehead and at the nape. A small earring pendant is visible below the ear. The portrait is sensitively modelled with smooth facial planes and precise die-cutting, reflecting the high artistic standard of 4th-century BCE Elean engravers. The field is plain and unlettered on this side.
Obverse script Ancient Greek

Reverse description An eagle standing left, wings folded, depicted in high relief at the centre of the coin. The bird grasps a serpent beneath its talons, a common Elean reverse motif. The eagle is set within a wreath of olive branches encircling the entire field, referencing the sacred olive of Olympia. The ethnic inscription, rendered in Elean digamma script, appears in the lower field. The composition is bold and naturalistic, consistent with the finest die work produced at the Olympian mint during the Olympiad series.
