| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of the Emperor Honorius, rendered in high relief in the late Roman imperial style, adorned with a pearl diadem from which pendilia descend behind the ear. The emperor is depicted draped and cuirassed, with elaborately detailed paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder by a jewelled fibula. The facial features are finely struck, conveying youthful imperial authority. The encircling Latin legend reads D N HONORI-VS P F AVG, identifying the emperor as dominus noster, pius and felix Augustus. |
