| Popis rubu | The Emperor Honorius is depicted standing in three-quarter view to the right, clad in military attire, holding a long standard (labarum) in his right hand and a Victory statuette mounted on a globe in his left hand, while his right foot tramples upon a prostrate captive enemy — a canonical image of Roman imperial triumph. The mint letters M and D appear across the fields to either side of the figure, denoting the Mediolanum mint. The exergue bears the inscription COMOB, the standard late Roman gold mintmark combining the Comitatensian officina designation with OB for obryzum, signifying refined gold of the highest purity. The encircling legend VICTORIA AVGGG proclaims the shared victory of the three co-ruling Augusti. |
