| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of early Flavian portraiture. The emperor's fleshy, realistically individualized features — including his broad forehead, strong jawline, and characteristic wrinkles — reflect the veristic tradition of Roman imperial coinage. A laurel wreath crowns his head, with ribbons visible at the nape. The circular legend runs around the full perimeter of the field, reading from lower left. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Victory personified standing right, her wings spread behind her, resting her left foot upon a captured enemy helmet. With her right hand she inscribes the legend OB CIV SERV upon a large oval shield that is affixed to the trunk of a palm tree — a well-known symbol of the Jewish War triumph. The composition is a deliberate allusion to Vespasian's consolidation of power and his military victory. The senatorial authorization mark S C appears in the lower field to either side of the central design. |
