The creature is rendered in a lively, schematic style characteristic of Iberian imitative coinage. The Iberian legend ETERTER appears in the lower portion of the field, inscribed in Levantine semi-syllabic script. The flan is thick and irregular, consistent with cast-blank hammered production of the 2nd century BC. |
