Reverse description The reverse field is occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription reading 'Qutlug Bulsun' (meaning 'may it be auspicious' or 'be happy, new pul'), arranged across two or three lines in bold Naskh-style script. The lettering is raised in relief and partially obscured by encrustation and wear typical of circulated Golden Horde copper puls. The irregular flan edges reflect the hand-cut planchet preparation standard for this series issued during the reign of Khan Muhammad Uzbeg.
