| Obverse description | Highly stylized and largely illegible imitation of a Hebrew inscription enclosed within a schematic wreath rendered in a crude, degenerate style. The lettering, intended to replicate a royal Hebrew legend, has deteriorated to the point of complete illegibility, reflecting the debased engraving standards of this late Hasmonean issue. The wreath border is summarily executed with irregular beaded or dashed elements. The overall style is characteristic of the most degraded prutot of the period. |
