| Reverse description | Reverse displays a frontal enthroned ecclesiastical figure, consistent with the type of a seated bishop in full pontifical regalia, including a mitre surmounted by a cross pattée at center chest. The figure raises both arms outward in a formal hieratic posture, flanked by two upright architectural elements resembling columns or candlesticks. The field is flat and largely unadorned, characteristic of the hammered bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage of the Bishopric of Gurk in the early 13th century. The flan is irregular and the strike moderately centered. |
