| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a crenellated tower of two storeys rises from the centre of the field, flanked on each side by a large spread wing, the ensemble evoking the Carinthian civic symbol of Völkermarkt. The wings extend broadly to the left and right, their feathers rendered in bold relief typical of hammered bracteate-style pfennigs. The outer border of the flan is irregular, consistent with hand-cut medieval planchets. The overall composition is strongly centralised and heraldic in character. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays a large letter 'V' rendered in relief within a beaded partial border, occupying the majority of the field. The 'V' is boldly struck and surrounded by rough, irregular flan edges characteristic of hammered medieval coinage. Given the thin, irregularly shaped planchet, strike-through from the obverse design is visible across portions of the field. The minimalist design is consistent with the incuse or near-bracteate striking technique employed for Carinthian pfennigs of this period. |
