Two six-pointed stars are positioned symmetrically in the field to either side of the cornucopia. The Greek royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΙΣΣΗΣ ΒΕΡΕΝΙΚΗΣ runs in two columns flanking the cornucopia, with the denomination letter E (denoting the pentadrachm value) visible in the lower field.
