Rising from the altar flames is a bust facing right, representing either the sacred fire deity or a royal effigy, consistent with Zoroastrian iconographic conventions. Flanking the altar stand two royal attendants, each adorned with a mural crown, rendered symmetrically in the hieratic Sasanian style. The overall composition reflects the standard reverse type of Shapur II's silver fractional coinage, emphasizing the dynasty's Zoroastrian religious authority.
