| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central cross pattée within a plain inner circle, dividing the field into four quadrants. The legend HLVDOVVICVS PIVS runs in a circular arrangement around the inner circle, preceded by a cross pommée. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of Carolingian hammered silver, with a beaded or plain border. The design follows the standard Carolingian temple-and-cross typology adapted for this issue. |
