背面描述	The reverse presents a crude monogram or interlaced design in the central field, characteristic of the episcopal coinage of Beauvais and drawing on the Carolingian monogram tradition. The design is boldly struck but irregularly defined, consistent with hand-hammered production of the late tenth century. The peripheral legend reads BELVACVS CIVITAS, identifying the city of Beauvais as the place of issue.
