A central vertical cross or tree-like motif flanked on either side by a stylized serpent or dragon, rendered in a decorative Romanesque manner characteristic of Jaca mint coinage. The two creatures are symmetrically disposed, their bodies curving outward from the central device. The Latin legend ANFVS REX (Anfus Rex, i.e. King Alfonso) surrounds the design in the field. |
