| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed or diademed draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius Gallus facing right, portrayed as Caesar in a youthful military manner consistent with late Constantinian dynastic portraiture. The obverse legend encircles the effigy, identifying the subject as Flavius Claudius Constantius in his rank of most noble Caesar. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of mid-4th century AE production at the Rome mint. Surface patination is a mottled green-brown, consistent with extended burial and circulation wear. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A Roman soldier or emperor, depicted in military attire and helmet, stands to the right on horseback, spearing a fallen barbarian enemy beneath the horse's hooves. The fallen figure reaches upward in a gesture of supplication. This FEL TEMP REPARATIO type with the 'falling horseman' composition is one of the most widely produced reverse types of the mid-4th century, symbolising Roman military supremacy and the restoration of prosperous times. The reverse legend encircles the scene, with the officina mark and mint signature appearing in the exergue. |
