Mohur - Bhupindar Singh

Bhupindar Singh acceded to the Patiala throne in 1900 at age nine, with a regent administering the state. This mohur, struck in 1902, falls within that regency period — making the authority under which it was issued a administrative formality as much as a regal one. Patiala maintained its own mint rights under the British paramountcy system, one of the few princely states permitted to strike gold coinage into the twentieth century.

KM#15 is sparsely documented in auction records, suggesting limited production runs rather than heavy ceremonial distribution.
