| Description du revers | The reverse features a central medallion portrait bust of Auguste Bartholdi in right profile, inscribed around its rim, flanked by the flags of the United States and France and framed by a laurel branch. Below, a dedicatory inscription in the field references the monument erected by France and America in memory of their friendship, with the dates 1776 and 1876 flanking a blank cartouche at the base. Dimensional inscriptions for the statue and pedestal heights appear in the lower left and right fields respectively. |
