The obverse legend reads DN THEODOSIVS PF AVG, distributed around the periphery within a beaded border, proclaiming him Dominus Noster and Pater Patriae Augustus. The portrait style is characteristic of late Roman imperial coinage, with bold, schematic modeling. |
