Reverse description The upper portion of the field features a circular medallion depicting a galloping horse facing left set against radiating sun rays extending across the field. Below, the field is divided into two columns by a vertical rule: the left column bears the descriptive text in Japanese (kanji and hiragana), the right column bears the equivalent text in French, with the title SHINMÉ heading the right column. The engraver's signature Y. OSHIO appears in the lower exergue.
