| Beschrijving keerzijde | A tall, ribbed amphora with two loop handles is depicted in the center of the field, its body rendered with vertical fluting and a broad foot. The vessel is shown in a frontal, schematic style typical of Bar Kokhba bronze coinage. A paleo-Hebrew inscription surrounds the amphora in the field, arranged in multiple lines on either side of and above the vessel. The flan edges are irregular, and the strike is slightly off-center, as is common for this series of emergency-issue hammered bronzes. |
