| 裏面の説明 | A bold Latin cross with flared terminals occupies the center of the coin, contained within a beaded inner circle. The cross divides the field into four equal quadrants. Surrounding the inner circle is the devotional legend + SANCTVS: NICOLAVS, invoking Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of Fribourg, in capital Roman letters within the outer beaded border. The design is simple and emblematic, consistent with Swiss billon coinage of the sixteenth century. |
