The laurel wreath is depicted with individual leaves clearly articulated atop the god's head. The facial features are modelled with sensitivity, displaying a slightly downcast gaze characteristic of late Classical Sicilian coinage. The abbreviated ethnic legend APXAΓETA appears in the left field, identifying Apollo in his capacity as divine leader or founder. A dotted border frames the design along the upper periphery.
