An ivy wreath adorns the crown of the head, depicted as a cluster of berries above the brow, characteristic of the god's iconography. The modelling is in a fine early fourth-century Thessalian style, with delicate facial features and a naturalistic treatment of the hair. The field is plain and the flan is of typical irregular oval shape. |

The inscription ΛΑΜΙ-ΕΩ-Ν, the ethnic of the city of Lamia in Thessaly, is disposed around the field in three segments, identifying the issuing authority.
