| Описание аверса | A large, boldly rendered fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, its three lobes and stem executed in high relief in the Florentine florin tradition. The lily is flanked by various small heraldic and symbolic devices distributed around the field. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters runs along the inner border, reading the issuer's name and title. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of hammered medieval gold coinage. The overall design closely follows the Florentine florin prototype adapted for the County of Horn. |

An eagle, the evangelist symbol associated with St. John, appears beside his head. A circular legend in uncial Latin characters surrounds the figure along the border, identifying the saint. The composition follows the standard St. John type adopted by numerous Low Countries imitations of the Florentine florin. |
