Reverse description A nimbed figure of Christ in Majesty, enthroned facing, depicted in a hieratic Byzantine-influenced style, holding an open book of Gospels in the left hand and raising the right hand in benediction. Two flanking pillars or candelabra frame the enthroned figure on either side. Below the throne, a large heraldic shield bearing the arms of the Bishopric of Utrecht is prominently displayed. The entire composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding legend in Gothic lettering reading the devotional inscription referencing David as servant.
