Obverse description Central device comprises a long ornate cross with a fleur-de-lis finial at the top, around which four heraldic shields are arranged in the angles: upper left bearing the arms of the Empire (eagle), upper right the arms of Burgundy (diagonal stripes), lower left and lower right bearing additional episcopal and dynastic arms. The cross shaft terminates at the base with a decorative element. The entire central design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by the mint legend in Gothic lettering.
