The interstices between the lobes display decorative floral or foliate ornaments. A circular Latin legend in uncial script surrounds the entire composition between beaded borders, referencing the mint city of Arnhem. The overall design follows the well-established Rhenish Gulden type derived from the Florentine florin tradition. |
