| 正面铭文 | CALLEV (Translation: Calleva Atrebatum.) |
| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts a stylised animal, identified as a dog or lion, bounding to the right in the field, rendered in the bold, schematic Celtic artistic manner with exaggerated haunches and raised foreleg. The abbreviated royal legend EPPI (for Eppillus) arcs above the animal in Latin characters. Below the animal, a pellet daisy or rosette motif composed of a central pellet surrounded by a ring of smaller pellets is prominently displayed. A beaded border runs along the rim of the flan. The composition is typical of the named ruler coinage of the late Atrebatic series. |
